Beautiful Piano Music for Intermediate Level

Price range: £9.99 through £16.99

Description

Although there are some delightful original pieces for the beginner pianist, it is at intermediate level when we really step into the world of piano artistry. There are so many intermediate pieces with vastly different difficulty that it may be overwhelming for solo learners to select an appropriate title. The aim of this collection is to present you with a good mix of musical styles, composers and technical challenges through beautiful and truly enjoyable solo piano music.

This book can be used by any intermediate student, whether you’re studying with a teacher or by yourself. It can be used as a supplementary book for your curriculum or as a standalone collection. Since the term intermediate consists of a wide range of difficulties, pieces in the upper intermediate (grades 5-6) level have been marked with a star, while those without fall into the lower intermediate (grades 3-4) category.

For ease of choice, the titles are grouped according to musical era and composer. Furthermore, each piece has a short introduction with essential guidance for practice.

The music has been re-engraved for easier reading. Editorial slurs, fingerings and pedal marks are added for guidance, however, following these is optional and you are welcome to engage your own creativity in sculpting the sound.

Apart from the great masters of the past, the book also has some more recent pieces and a special commission by contemporary composer Angeline Bell.

Although this book is not part of the Beginner Piano Course for Solo Leaners, it can be used as supplementary material with Levels 3 & 4.
