Level 2 – Technique & Performance

This book is Level 2: Technique & Performance in the Beginner Piano Course for Solo Learners. It should be studied alongside the Level 2 Lesson book but it could also be used by anyone looking for original beginner pieces & studies by the great masters.

The book contains a varied collection of performance pieces and studies by multiple composers from many periods and styles. There are lots of intermediate and advanced piano collections but not too many for beginners. I wanted to create a repertoire collection that contains original pieces, not simplified arrangements, that could be played by most beginners to improve their technique and artistic skills.

The pieces in this book are grouped by difficulty, composer and musical period, making it very easy to find a suitable study or piece. Furthermore, there are references to each section of the lesson book so you can easily find the relevant pieces for each chapter.

This course was designed for adult beginners learning without a teaching, but it could be used by anyone above the age of 12. The book was not intended to be used on its own, it was conceived as part of a complete course that includes video lessons and supplementary materials. Therefore, in order to benefit from the full learning experience, you are encouraged to watch all the accompanying video lessons before playing the pieces in this book.
